Recruitment, Training and Competence Policy

VR1 Solutions Ltd is committed to recruiting competent personnel and ensuring that all employees receive the appropriate training and support required to perform their roles safely and effectively. When a vacancy arises, the Company Director will ensure that a job description and person specification are prepared before recruitment begins, and all advertisements will promote equal opportunities without discrimination. Applicants will be fairly assessed, with interviews conducted by suitably experienced personnel, and any necessary skills testing completed before an offer of employment is made. All new employees will receive a company induction covering key health and safety arrangements, including fire and emergency procedures, first aid, welfare, accident reporting, and workplace safety rules. The company identifies training needs through regular Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and ensures employees receive relevant health and safety training, toolbox talks, and ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain competence and keep skills up to date. Employee performance is formally reviewed through an annual appraisal process where progress, performance, and development needs are discussed, objectives are agreed for the following period, and any required training is identified and recorded. Training records, induction documentation, and appraisal reports are maintained by the company to ensure compliance and to support continuous improvement in staff competence and organisational performance.
